Family might be more important than you think.
Culture ‘Crash’
Family-phobic Luke’s seemingly perfect fast-lane London life gets completely torpedoed by the seeming infidelity of long-term, desperate to have kids, girlfriend Sophie. In one day he loses his girl, his job, his home and even his really swanky, state-of-the-art coffee machine.
Getting his old life back proves exceptionally tricky in an uncaring world that appears to have moved on. However, an enforced, disaster-laden voyage of self-discovery in laid-back, rural France leads him to young bohemian waitress and student Valerie, who proceeds to upend his worldview. Will their meeting mean he can duck his home truths, and move on from Sophie and the pressure for kids, or simply present him with harsh realities that will force him to solve the riddles of his middle years, confront his prejudices and take back control of his life, perhaps even encouraging a family of his own?
